About Why Atelier Sharara

Why Atelier Sharara

In an evolving world, scientific disciplines increasingly interconnect and transcend conventional boundaries, driven by the necessity to draw from emerging, interconnected elements of knowledge. This approach enables the generation of insights that are attuned to modern challenges. Consequently, a fresh perspective emerges on the built environment—its potential, and the manifold benefits it can bestow upon humanity—when examined through the lens of multidisciplinary sciences.

In the world of architecture and the built-environment in particular, the pioneering ideas that accompanied the end of the twentieth century led to the merging of several scientific disciplines of an engineering-biological and health-environmental nature within the framework of engineering integration to improve human life and meet its growing social, psychological and health requirements in closed environments.

With the increase in pollution rates, the spread of pandemics such as Covid-19, and the use of architectural spaces in an arbitrary and unconsidered manner, a necessary need grew to invent avant-garde ideas in organizing the internal space, which led to the merging of scientific disciplines all together, such as:

  • Neuroarchitecture, which is the interconnection of both neuroscience and architecture.
  • Environmental Psychology, the study of the psychological effects of architecture.
  • Sustainable design, ensures lasting well-being for societies and the environment.
  • Biophilic, integrating nature with interior space and interior architecture.
  • Biomimicry, the science of imitating nature in architecture and interior designing.
  • Biomorphic, taking natural forms as a source of inspiration in architecture.

We at Atelier Sharara have reached a new equation that came as a culmination of joint cooperation between several institutions that varied between scientific researches, designs and implementations, along with the fact that architecture and interior designing are majors characterized by multidimensionality and diversity of appearances. This cooperation came in light of the increasing need to share and develop experiences in order to produce a sustainable human-environmental design that meets the emerging needs of users in light of the globalization of the economy, a new culture coming to light and the problems of cultural identity.

This experience consists of a trio:

  1. LABs, Leading Academic Bioneers, leadership center for sustainable development research.
  2. Atelier Sharara, an architectural design company.
  3. Squares Global, an implementation and construction company.

In this context, Atelier Sharara has implemented many architectural and interior projects around the world according to this formula that was set, and presented works that were distinguished by innovation based on the trilogy of scientific research, thoughtful design and implementation with the latest sustainable and environmentally friendly technologies. Hence, we invite you through this website to view the Atelier Sharara group, in which you will find our work’s most prominent executions around the world.
